Sammie leads the Sustainability and Climate Change practice in PwC Mainland China and Hong Kong. Sammie’s team helps clients in areas include Green Finance, Climate Risks and Solutions, Sustainability Strategy and Performance, in addition to ESG Reporting. Sammie led the 2019 SFC Survey on ESG and Climate Risk across the asset management sector and she work closely with the industries in driving changes in the green finance space. Sammie’s team helps the investor community developing/enhancing their ESG investment practices, from analysing the ESG information, developing an ESG methodology, integrating ESG factors into their risk and investment decisions and developing a process on company engagement. Sammie’s team also supports banking clients in incorporating “green” in the money lending decisions. Sammie helps clients in adopting the TCFD recommendation and assists companies in addressing climate risks, performed scenario analysis and formulated a enterprise-wide strategic response for all key markets. In addition to the financial sectors, her TCFD clients include industries covering utilities, telecommunication and real estate. Sammie has helped 60+ companies in developing / enhancing / providing assurance on their ESG disclosures. Sammie has strong track record in helping clients to adopt reporting frameworks such as Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the ESG Guide issued by the HKEx. She also supports clients in engaging their stakeholders including investors and ESG rating agencies. Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Sammie is a frequent speaker on sustainability and governance topics. She has conducted over 50+ Directors Training sessions including the global priority accounts of PwC.
